ALACHUA, Fla. — NCCER recently released the new Maritime Structural Fitter written assessment and performance verification. A Maritime Core assessment is also available to evaluate knowledge of Maritime Industry Fundamentals. NCCER partners with the National Maritime Education Council (NMEC) to develop the standardized and nationally recognized Maritime curricula and assessments. Representatives from Austal USA, Bollinger Shipyards, Continental Maritime of San Diego, Huntington-Ingalls Industries, Tecnico Corporation, Vigor and World Marine participated as subject matter experts to contribute to the development of the Maritime Structural Fitter assessment to ensure it meets or exceeds industry standards, along with NCCER and ProvTM.
